• Students can Apply Online only after the publication of their respective Board / Council (10+2) Results.

Students having passed +2 may apply for any or as many courses of their choice indicated below provided they fulfill the eligibility requirements :

• B.A. (Honours courses) - English, Political Science, Sociology & Bengali (for both boys & girls).
• B.A. (General course) (for both boys & girls).
• B.Sc. (Honours courses) -
  Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Microbiology, Mass Communication and Videography (MCV). (for both boys & girls).
• B.Com. (Honours course) - (Morning - for boys only).
• B.Com. (Honours course) - (Evening - for both boys & girls).
• B.B.A. (Honours course) - (for both boys & girls)
• BMM (Bachelor of Multimedia) - with specialization in Animation (4 years degree course) (for both boys & girls).
• M.Sc. Biotechnology - (5 year integrated course after +2). (for both boys & girls)
• B.A. Bengali Honours students may write the ancillary papers in Bengali.

• Foreign students who did not have English as a medium of study in school, will have to fulfill the requirement of proficiency in English. These students have to produce a Certificate stating their proficiency in written and spoken English from a recognized institute.
• All foreign students will also be interviewed / required to appear for a written English Language proficiency test prior to their admission.

Hostel accommodation will be available in the Park Street Main Hostel only for the freshers.

Students of all categories having the required eligibility will apply online through the website.

These students of Category II & III who do not have the minimum required aggregate marks of 60% for applying, but have 45% in every subject, may meet the Principal / Vice-principal as per the schedule given below, for special permission to apply. Special arrangement is made in the college, for these students of Category II and III.

The following dates are applicable for ISC & CBSE board candidates only. Dates for WBHS & boards other than ISC/CBSE will be announced later.

• College Alumni Association members with long standing record of service to the college & society who seek to get their son/daughter admitted to St. Xavier's College, need to fill in a separate form available with the Principal's office on June 5 & 6 between 5pm and 7pm.
• Interviews for the alumni/ae members will be held on June 13,14 & 15 between 5pm and 7pm as per the list to be published on 11th June at 5pm.
• Defence personnel and others in this category need to apply to Fr. Principal with all necessary documents.

• NCC cadets of the Army wing only, will have to appear for an interview in uniform on 18th June at 11am at the College NCC office (Jubilee Building, 1st floor, Room-101).
• Cadets who have appeared for "B" certificate examination in 2013 or who have attended national level camps will be given special preference.
• Cadets who discontinued NCC or completed the course need not apply under this category.
• Please bring all necessary NCC documents duly attested by the Commanding Officer / Group Commander of the concerned NCC battalion / NCC group.

Sports Persons will have to appear for Trials in their respective field for consideration under this category.

Along with the trials, they will follow the normal admission procedure like admission test / interview etc.

Applicants who have played the following games at the State / National / 1st Division Level, ONLY IN THE LAST TWO YEARS, may come to verify their documents as per following schedule.
